PREVENTION. CARE. CURE.
The Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation (VLCF) has and will continue to fund innovative research and compassionate care for all types of adult and pediatric cancer. Health care institutions throughout the country are encouraged to apply.
In 2017 VLCF established the Starr Children’s Fund dedicated to pediatric cancer care. Under the VLCF umbrella, The Starr Children’s Fund is supported by the same mission, values and vision established by the VLCF Board of Directors.
VLCF seeks to make our funding application process as systematic and streamlined as possible. This is to ensure applicants are evaluated on a comparable basis by our Grant Application Committee. Chaired by a VLCF Board Member, the Grant Application committee consists of medical experts and partners of VLCF who are well versed in non-for profit fund distribution.
PROJECTS FUNDED SHOULD ALIGN WITH OUR MISSION, VALUES AND VISION
In the same spirit of excellence that defined Vince Lombardi, Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation raises funds for leading-edge research and Cancer Care. Our work helps patients, supports families and builds cancer awareness.
Commitment to Excellence
To be recognized as one of the Nation’s leading charities in the fight against cancer by using the same winning attitude as the great coach, Vince Lombardi.
WHO CAN APPLY
Funding requests will be accepted from recognized healthcare institutions only. VLCF will not accept or review applications for families or individuals.
HOW FUNDING WORKS
In looking to continue the tradition of making an impact, VLCF prefers grant requests greater than $50,000.
GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS STAGES
Funding considerations must be submitted online. These funding inquiries are then short-listed by our Grant Application Committee. The committee may then require additional details, including more descriptive proposals and information needed to better understand the grant in review. The committee will then schedule interviews for those short-listed. After interviews, the VLCF Grant Application Committee will make a formal recommendation to the VLCF Board of Directors. The Starr Family will make final approval for The Starr Children’s Fund grants, upon recommendation from the VLCF BOD.
