In June 1970, Coach Lombardi was diagnosed with an aggressive form of colon cancer and died just 10 weeks later on September 3 at the age of 57. In honor of his legacy, the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation was established and works to prevent cancer, provide the best care to those fighting it and find a cure. Since we opened our doors in 1971, we’ve raised nearly $25 million to deliver on this promise.

We will celebrate Vince Lombardi’s legacy with a Happy Hour celebration at Ope Brewing Co. on what would have been Lombardi’s 112th birthday. Along with delicious beer and seltzers available for purchase from Ope Brewing Co., enjoy free birthday cupcakes and the chance to win tickets to the 2025 Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation Food & Wine Signature Event on November 7. All who attend can enter the door prize drawing, no purchase required!
